Carbon Fiber Shaft

In Japan, carbon fiber shafts have become one of the main engine materials, and are present in the European, American and Japanese markets.       Take carbon fiber drive shaft as an example:

      Carbon fiber drive shaft light weight, small rotation inertia. Carbon fiber drive shafts are used for some high-performance rear-driving, and rear-driven drive shafts transmit power output from the gearbox to the rear axle, from the front of the body through the rear. The front-driven drive shaft is actually a half-shaft, and the power output from the gearbox can be transmitted directly to the wheels through the half-shaft.

The cost of carbon fiber drive shafts is high, so it is not seen in ordinary cars.


        The drive shaft of the rear drive is connected to the differential of the rear axle, the power of the drive shaft is transferred to the differential, and then the differential has two half axles connected to the rear wheel, so that the power is transferred to the rear wheel.


         The drive shaft must be tested for action balance, otherwise the drive shaft will produce some jitter and  abnormal sound during high-speed rotation, affecting the performance of the car. The half-shaft also needs to be tested for dynamic balance. Almost all high-speed rotating parts on the automobile must be tested for action balance, such as engine crankshaft, wheels, half-shaft, drive shaft, etc. Carbon fiber is a material widely used in high-performance sports cars and racing cars. This material is light weight and strong. As a result, teams and major supercar manufacturers prefer to use this material for some parts of the body.
