1、Lightweight . After the application of carbon fiber in automobiles, the most obvious benefit to automobile manufacturing is the lightweight of automobiles, and the most direct impact is the improvement of energy saving, acceleration and braking performance. Generally speaking, the vehicle weight is reduced by 10%, the fuel consumption is reduced by 6% ~ 8%, the emission is reduced by 5 ~ 6%, the acceleration of 0-100km/H is improved by 8 ~ 10%, and the braking distance is shortened by 2 ~ 7 m.

Carbon fiber composites have excellent energy absorption rate, which is six to seven times that of steel and three to four times that of aluminium, which further ensures the safety of automobiles.

Carbon fiber composite material has higher vibration damping, light alloy needs 9 seconds to stop vibration, carbon fiber composite material can stop in 2 seconds, so the application of carbon fiber in automobiles also contributes greatly to the improvement of vehicle NVH (noise, vibration and acoustic roughness), which will greatly enhance the comfort of automobile driving.

Carbon fiber composites have higher fatigue strength, the fatigue strength of steel and aluminum is 30-50% of the tensile strength, while carbon fiber composites can reach 70-80%, so the application of carbon fiber composites in automobiles can greatly improve the fatigue reliability of materials.

5、Improve the level of body development. Because the designability of carbon fiber composite materials is stronger than that of metal, it is easier to develop the platform, modularization and integration of the body. Compared with the traditional automobile body structure, the hybrid body structure of carbon fiber body and metal platform can achieve modularization and integration, greatly reduce the types of parts, reduce tooling investment and shorten the development cycle.
